Lakmé Fashion Week celebrated its 15th Anniversary at the ShowBiz Capital Of India, Mumbai (18-22 March). The season encompassed most impressive shows, with quite a bold line up of designers, some real young, fresh & inspiring fashion trends, veterans celebration of the Special Edition with elaborate off-site shows and upsurge in business of fashion.
With 83 participating designers, Lakme Fashion Week witnessed a power packed season, showcasing India's best designer line-ups of Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra, Anamika Khanna, Tarun Tahiliani, Wendell Rodricks, Suneet Verma and Raghavendra Rathore all presenting their best in one scintillating season.
While the veterans fed the season's hunger for designs and creations to its fullest, it was also enthralling to see some young and very fresh designers' talent, weaved and crafted in style and luxury, leaving hungry viewers with nothing but a desire to own and wear their awesome collection at-least once in their lifetime.
One such fresh designer label was MADSAM TINZIN.
Every piece crafted and designed by these four young and dynamic designers of the label, was in absolute synchrony of thought, vision and passion which had only one objective in mind, to beautify women and make them look stunning and outstanding. Now here, I can take a deep breath and Thank the designers for thinking about us while designing their creations.
The journey of these four designers, Madhuritu Dutta, Saumya Sharma, Tina Bhardwaj, Stanzin Dazes, started on dawn of 2012 New Years' Day and indeed they have come quite a long way as they share the stage with the Veterans now.
Their showcased collection was as fresh and alluring as our New Years' day :), from innovative embroideries and flattering
silhouettes, the brand approached to fill the niche of intuitive designs, executed with unparalleled
craftsmanship.
The collection was inspired by “Aangan” showcased an
alluring and ethereal collection at Jabong Stage during Lakmé Fashion Week
Summer/Resort 2015.
The collection was quite successful in evoking the true romantic, admiring, simple but profound beauty of the courtyard, captured by geometric tile prints occasionally enhanced by intricate
floral hand embroideries and playful use of transparency.
While color plays quite an important role, here the colour palette
drew a very subtle summer hue while the silhouettes flared elegance with a hint of
bohemian ease.
Dramatically romantic yet functional; the collection comprises of
easy-to-wear silhouettes, which made their way across the runway as flared
pants, cropped tops, asymmetrical floor length tunics and draped skirts.
The collection had a mix of lightweight fabrics ranging from silk
organza's to dupions and georgettes, which were used in pleasant shades of Apricot, Honey Dew, Ivory and Moroccan Greens.
The designers worked with a very unique concept of asymmetry in design, as
opposed to experimenting with cuts for a softer, natural and more feminine
touch.
“We feel Indian outfits are getting more
simplified, not only in terms of voluminous silhouettes but also in terms of
surface ornamentation; wherein a subdued sheen creates the edge. In international scenario, we personally love the
trend, that is moving from more androgynous styles to feminine twists, to make
women enjoy the best of both worlds!” said, MadSamTinZin.
Quite provocatively the brand is for New-Gen-Brides, with its unique take on ‘New-Age’ Trousseau amongst women with an individualistic sense of style. The MADSAMTINZIN bride will surely have the freedom to unload ,unwind, and have fun unlike the traditional bridal wear which by the end of the day drains off all the energy of the bride just by wearing that piece, which personally I don't suggest, afterall its your Day !
Regal, romantic and downright royal (I mean it when I say this) is what any fairy tale princess needs and now You can wear one from MADSAMTINZIN!
